Breast Cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer, affecting almost 85 of every 100,000 Americans. A new paper in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute shows evidence that for women 50 and older, virtually any amount of sustained weight loss translates to a reduction in breast cancer risk. However, it has been a long established fact that excess body weight is a risk factor for breast cancer as well. This is due to the elevated levels of estrogen produced by too much body fat.
